Source rights and provenance
JazzMesh separates published data from any source whose rights or provenance are undocumented.
Published corpus
The demo uses traceable snapshot 2026-08-24-80807978346e, built from monthly Discogs dumps and bounded to releases from 1935 to 2000.
Sources
Discogs: official monthly dumps, releases, credits and identifiers — CC0.
Wikidata: anchors, types and documented attributes — CC0.
MusicBrainz: only MBIDs exposed through Wikidata; no additional enrichment is published.
Meaning of fields
A year is a release year, never a session date. A Discogs country is a pressing country. Graph coordinates and communities are calculated by JazzMesh.
Images and limits
The landing page shows JazzMesh interface screenshots, without Discogs/Amazon covers or photographs from undocumented sources.
The home-page editorial artwork was generated specifically for JazzMesh with an AI tool. It is not an archival photograph and does not claim to depict any identified musician.
Ambiguous credits are excluded. The corpus describes releases, not an exhaustive history of jazz sessions.
